IT and Business Systems Review

Datawise was asked to conduct a detailed system review of all business IT systems and processes within the organisation with the view to make recommendations for upgrades and replacements of any systems that were operating inefficiently due to duplicate data entry and processing, or due to poor performance relating to age or original design issues.

During the project, Datawise investigated a number of “off the shelf” business systems that could enhance the accuracy and ease of use of inventory management, invoicing, shipping and sales processes. A recommendation was made as to the most suitable software system to implement and the best service provider to complete the implementation. Other databases and systems also were reviewed as part of this process and recommendations made for simplification and additional integration between the systems.

The long-term strategy in regard to data entry, data storage, reporting and information flow between systems has therefore been improved substantially. The various recommendations were implemented and are still being used to support efficient operations within the business
